Service Description
The postpartum period can bring many questions, emotions, and changes. Virtual Postpartum Doula Support provides personalized guidance and encouragement from the comfort of your home. Support may include virtual check-ins, phone calls, text and email communication, breastfeeding and lactation basics, newborn care education, nutrition support, postpartum self-care, emotional support, relaxation techniques, and help navigating your transition into motherhood. My goal is to help you feel supported, informed, confident, and less overwhelmed as you care for yourself and your baby. Virtual postpartum doula support is non-medical and does not replace care from your healthcare provider or other qualified professionals.

Cancellation Policy
-Services Provided: Emotional and physical support for postpartum recovery. Guidance on newborn care (feeding, sleep, bonding). Lactation support and breastfeeding guidance. Postpartum self-care and mental health support. Resources for family adjustment and newborn care. -Availability: Virtual support available through video calls, phone, and text. Scheduled sessions based on client needs, typically 1-2 hours per session. Support is available for up to 6 weeks postpartum or as agreed. -Fees & Payment: Payment is due upon booking or according to the agreed payment plan. Fees are non-refundable unless services have not yet been rendered. Sliding scale may be available based on individual needs. -Client Responsibilities: Provide medical and birth history and share any specific postpartum concerns. Communicate clearly about preferred methods of contact and availability. Ensure a private, quiet space for virtual sessions. -Cancellation Policy: A 24-hour notice is required for cancellation or rescheduling of virtual sessions. No refund for missed sessions without prior notice. -Confidentiality: All information shared during sessions is confidential, except where required by law. Doula will respect the client’s privacy and adhere to confidentiality guidelines. Technical Requirements: -Clients must have access to a reliable internet connection and the necessary devices for virtual meetings (e.g., smartphone, tablet, or computer). If technical issues arise, the doula will reschedule or adjust the session accordingly. -Scope of Practice: Virtual postpartum doulas provide emotional, informational, and practical support, but do not offer medical advice or clinical care. Doulas will not replace medical professionals, and clients should seek medical care for any concerns requiring diagnosis or treatment. -Support Availability: Virtual support is available during business hours and by appointment. Doula will respond to messages within 24 hours, but urgent responses are not guaranteed outside of scheduled sessions. -Liability: The doula is not liable for any medical outcomes or decisions made by the client or healthcare provider. The doula will offer advice and support, but ultimately, clients are responsible for their own care choices. -Backup Support: In case of illness or emergency, a backup doula will be provided if available, with prior notice. -Respect for Choices: The doula respects all postpartum plans and supports the client’s decisions regarding everything.
